Advisory Council

The Labour Future Advisory Council is composed of Members of Parliament and respected figures within the Labour Party. Each member brings a wealth of experience, insight, and commitment to Labour Future, championing our movement and acting as dedicated advocates for change.

Together, they will play a pivotal role in shaping our vision and driving our mission forward: to ensure the Labour Party is a whole nation party rooted in the traditions of working people.

Hon. Tristan Osborne MP

Tristan was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Chatham and Aylesford in 2024. Prior to being elected to Parliament, Tristan served on Medway Council from 2011 to 2024 where he served as Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Enforcement when Labour took control of the Council. He stood for Parliament for the Chatham and Aylesford Constituency in 2015 and was the Labour candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner in 2016. Tristan was a Geography teacher in Medway and previously worked as a Business Consultant.

Lord Maurice Glasman

Maurice is a political theorist and Labour Life Peer in the House of Lords. Maurice founded ‘Blue Labour’ in 2009. Maurice was an advisor to Ed Miliband when he served as Leader of the party between 2010-2015. Maurice is a Senior Lecturer in Political Theory at London Metropolitan University and is Director of its Faith and Citizenship Programme. Maurice is a columnist for the New Statesman, Unherd, Tablet and Spiked.

Hon. Graham Stringer MP

Graham has been the Labour Member of Parliament for Manchester Blackley (1997-2010) and Blackley and Broughton (2010-2024). Prior to serving in Parliament, Graham was Leader of Manchester City Council from 1979-1998 and was the Councils Leader from 1984-1996. Graham served on the Political Advisory Council of Vote Leave and a member of the Labour Leave campaign. Graham is a member of the House of Commons Panel of Chairs.

Mr. Paul Embery

Paul was a firefighter with the London Fire Brigade and served as Regional Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union in London. Paul was a campaigner for Brexit, advocating that the UK should leave the European Union. Since the referendum Paul has become a published author and political commentator. Paul has worked as a columnist for UnHerd and the Huffington Post and has also hosted The Political Correction segment on GB News. Paul is a Labour member and a supporter of the Blue Labour movement.
